The challenge

Gambaru's existing identity no longer matched the energy of the club. Members and instructors deserved a visual identity that actually looked like the strength and discipline the sport is built on.

The approach

I rebranded the club's logo and visual identity from the ground up, and designed a custom illustration for the club's sweaters and hoodies that captures the fighting spirit the name Gambaru ('try your hardest') is meant to represent.

The result

The result is a bolder, more energetic identity that members are proud to wear on and off the mat, reflecting the renewed spirit of the club.
